Par défaut, le CMS Joomla! produit des titres de page (au sens balise title) composés du nom du site suivi du nom de l’article affiché. Pourtant l’inverse serait plus approprié afin d’assurer, voire d’augmenter sa visibilité par les moteurs de recherche et surtout par les internautes.

Comme nous l’explique (trop) méticuleusement TheDuck dans un récent tutoriel-vidéo, la solution consiste à modifier le fichier /includes/Joomla.php vers la ligne 508

• en remplaçant:
  
  $this->_head[’title‘] = $title?
  $GLOBALS[’mosConfig_sitename’] . ‘ - ‘. $title :
  $GLOBALS[’mosConfig_sitename’];
   
• par:

  $this->_head[’title‘] = $title? $title . ‘ - ‘.
  $GLOBALS[’mosConfig_sitename’] :
  $GLOBALS[’mosConfig_sitename’];
